Scranton detailing company celebrates six years |
Husband and wife team, David and
Lucia Peregrim, opened Ricochets Rapid Detail at
715 Fig St Scranton 6 years ago on 09/29/2002.
The couple with 25 years of experience in the
auto detailing industry incorporated as an LLC
on 10/31/2007.
The business participates in charity events annually.
The company strongly supports modern local rock
band Shoot the Moon. Shoot The Moon! is a
mix of familiar faces from some great national
and local bands such as The Poptart Monkeys, The
Back Doors, Beef, Analog Velvet and last but not
least Psycho Bettie. Shoot the Moon, who
has band members spread out between Pennsylvania
and New Jersey, is a good example of how that
works. Tom Sweeney of Mount Laurel, N.J.,
plays guitar and sings; Sean McGeehan, is lead
vocals and lives in Tamaqua; Drummer John Young
lives in Nanticoke and James Balogach, bassist,
calls New Pheonixville home. Shoot The
Moon rocks the house like few other bands can.
With a solid program of rock and roll but plenty
of leeway and unexpected curves, you never can
tell where Shoot The Moon will begin or end, but
you can always count on tons of energy, a
strong, tight performance and a great party
atmosphere. Shoot the Moon recently found
www.reverbnation.com
which is basically a Myspace for the music
community. People can exchange and view
music, and bands get exposure into new markets.
The more active the band’s Web site is, the
higher it climbs on Reverbnation’s music charts.
Shoot the Moon reached No. 7 on the Web site’s
rock charts and as high as the top 20 in the
combined genre chart. It is still ranked
at No. 15 on the rock chart and hasn’t sunk
lower than being placed in the top 50 in the all
genres chart. Rankings are re-calculated
every 24 hours and pit lesser-known bands
against heavy hitters like OTEP, Seether, Kenny
Chesney, Usher, Beyonce, 50 Cent and Live.
Lucia Peregrim, Operations
Manager/Owner states that its not every day that
a company as small as we are can do this and
David and I are so proud to do events like this
as well as support a famous local band such as
Shoot the Moon. We are very proud to be so
active in the community as well as active as we
can for the Shoot the Moon Street Team.
Ricochets Rapid Detail has sponsored the band in
the past for Zoostock which supported the
American Cancer Society in Lansford PA and also
when Shoot the Moon opened for national music
Act Poison back in 2007. For more
information about Shoot the Moon check them out
on
www.reverbnation.com/shootthemoon. |

"If you have the
dream...do it"

Growing up in a family-owned business, Lucia
Peregrim always felt she would like to run her
own operation. Now she is the operations
manager for Ricochet's Rapid Detail, 715 Fig
St., Scranton, an automotive detailing business.
It all started when she and her husband Dave Peregrim
finally opened their own shop -- Richochet's --
in April 2005. Dave detailed cars for Tom
Hesser Chevrolet and other shops, and since 1998
has detailed for Kelly Volkswagen. She
points to her husband's hard work and her
excellent public relations skills as tools they
use to get the business off the ground and keep
it healthy.
She supported her husband's dreams from the beginning
as his professional and personal lifetime
partner.
The whole thing comes down to proper planning, she
says. Once you have the dream and know how
to do it, you can do anything, she stresses.
She credits her parents who ran Lucia's pizza from 1984
to 2001 for her work ethic and she attributes
her professional success to her husband.
They both worked very hard to get where they are
now, she says. Their ability to work well
together makes it possible to achieve their
mutual goals. |
The biggest challenges come from the competitive
nature of the local automotive market.
There are many businesses of all sizes vying for
the automotive owner's money. But the
challenges are outweighed by the rewards.
"Making our customers happy", she claims as her
biggest reward.
When asked about what women professionals should do to
prepare for their futures, she says plainly they
should do something they enjoy. "I would
advise young women to work hard, go to school
for as long as you can and take advantage of the
opportunities that are available".
She also believes in pursuing the dream. "As long
as you have a dream you can achieve anything",
she says.
She, her husband, dog Daisy Duke and two cats Bo Duke
and WynDixie enjoy the private time they have
together. But she admits private time is
hard to find. Concentrating on keeping
everything organized and afloat, she works on
the side for Notify MD as an
answering service operator. In the end she
emphasizes she is grateful for everything she
has and feels very successful in what she does.
